Apple Crisp - Serves 4-6
Ingredients:
- 4 C peeled & sliced apples
- 2 T lemon juice
- 1/2 C quick or old fashioned oats, uncooked
- 1/4 C flour
- 1/2 C firmly packed dark brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 6 T butter or margarine
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp nutmeg
Instructions:
- Place apples in a 9 inch heat-resistant, non-metallic pie plate
- Sprinkle lemon juice
- Heat, covered, on full power 2 minutes
- Combine remaining ingredients in a small heat-resistant non-metallic bowl
- Heat topping mixure on full power, 2 minutes. Stiring after the first minute. Cool slightly
- Sprinkle topping mixture over apples
- Heat uncovered on full power. 8 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is crisp
